A Consumer Dispute Notice is a notice you learn of during forex trader training and it’s about when the consumer to the opposite party for informing the deficiency in service or of unfair trade practices etc. to see if the trader is willing to make good the loss suffered by the consumer either by replacing the commodity or returning the value of purchase. It can be done formally by filing a consumer complaint. The Consumer Protection Act, 1986 gives the consumers, the right to give notice to the vendor if they are not satisfied with the goods or services.

  • a consumer; or • any voluntary consumer association registered under the Companies Act, 1956 or under any other law for the time being in force; or • the Central Government or any State Government; or • one or more consumers, where there are numerous consumers having the same interest; or • in case of death of a consumer, his legal heir or representative; who or which makes a complaint.

The prima facieconcern for sending a notice is to implore remedy and to provide a chance to the seller to make good for the loss suffered by the consumer. If the part agrees, the dispute resolves then and there only with not going into long Court proceedings. But if the party refuses to bear the loss, then the consumer need to approach to the Consumer Court with the notice. The notice is mandatory and you need to maintain evidence of sending the notice.

  • Name and address of the Service Provider. • Complete details of purchased product or service (cash memo number and date). • Give information about the warranty or guarantee promised to you at the time of purchase. • Detail of the deficiency in the product and services. • Replacement/compensation demanded. • The name and address of the consumer should also be mentioned specifically on the consumer notice. • Address and contact information of consumer.
